Thanks so much Amanda. Yes, I think we do. I'm certainly not comfortable with it yet, though I try. And I often think of that thing that people so often say - that in the past, bodies were laid out in the family parlour/kitchen etc ... which brought home the sense of familiarity with death we don't have.
Kate you made my day with your comment! thank you thank you. I sit there pouring everything into Vamp and wondering if I'm wasting my time ... and your comment will get me through next week's great pouring in!!!X
Sorry to read about your cousin, Stephanie. You've written really movingly about the funerals you've attended. The flickering candle. I was thinking of the places we keep returning to for "the big stuff": hospitals, churches and crematoriums. Punctuation marks in our lives.
Thank you Wendy. These are big moments indeed. Can't help but leave you reflective. I just don't want too much hospital intervention nor a hole in the ground! Quick, smart, get it over with and light a fire!!!! Hope you are well!!!X
A beautiful piece of writing...thank you...we need to get more comfortably uncomfortable about this most inevitable part of 'life'/living/existence.

There is so much beautiful content in this newsletter to thank you for Stephanie, I don't know where to start.
Thank you so much 🙏
